Terms, in plain language

• We recover unclaimed property held by the California State Controller for business clients, on contingency.
• Our fee is at most 10% of what is actually recovered, the cap set by California law (CCP §1582). The State pays it directly to us in a separate check. You never pay us, and you owe nothing if the claim doesn't pay.
• No agreement takes effect, and no fee exists, for property that has not yet been delivered to the State.
• Every amount we show you is published by the State, and you can always claim it yourself at no cost at claimit.ca.gov.
• The one signature the State requires is made in ink, witnessed by a notary we send at our cost. We file by mail; nothing on this site files a claim.
• You may cancel at no cost any time before your claim is filed.
